Ingredients
Method
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels.
- Season the tops and sides of the salmon evenly with Cajun seasoning and salt, pressing the spices gently onto the fish.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, honey, lemon juice, and garlic powder until smooth.
- Brush about half of the honey butter mixture over the tops and sides of the seasoned salmon.
- Place the salmon in the air fryer basket, skin side down, leaving space between the fillets for air circulation.
- Air fry for 8 minutes at 400°F without moving the salmon.
- Open the basket and brush the remaining honey butter mixture over the salmon, coating the tops well.
- Return the basket to the air fryer and cook for 2 more minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the edges look lightly caramelized.
- Let the salmon rest in the basket for 2 minutes, then serve immediately.
Notes
- Use fillets of similar thickness so they cook evenly in the air fryer.
- For a bit more char, air fry for 1 additional minute after brushing on the remaining honey butter.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days; reheat in the air fryer at 320°F for 3 to 4 minutes.
