Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 2 salmon fillets 6 oz each, skin on
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp fine sea salt or to taste

Method

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels.
  3. Season the tops and sides of the salmon evenly with Cajun seasoning and salt, pressing the spices gently onto the fish.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, honey, lemon juice, and garlic powder until smooth.
  5. Brush about half of the honey butter mixture over the tops and sides of the seasoned salmon.
  6. Place the salmon in the air fryer basket, skin side down, leaving space between the fillets for air circulation.
  7. Air fry for 8 minutes at 400°F without moving the salmon.
  8. Open the basket and brush the remaining honey butter mixture over the salmon, coating the tops well.
  9. Return the basket to the air fryer and cook for 2 more minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the edges look lightly caramelized.
  10. Let the salmon rest in the basket for 2 minutes, then serve immediately.

Notes

- Use fillets of similar thickness so they cook evenly in the air fryer.
- For a bit more char, air fry for 1 additional minute after brushing on the remaining honey butter.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days; reheat in the air fryer at 320°F for 3 to 4 minutes.
