  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Method
 

  1. Wash and scrub the potatoes, then slice them into thin, even rounds about 1/8 inch thick.
  2. Place the potato slices in a large bowl and drizzle with olive oil.
  3. Sprinkle the salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder over the potatoes.
  4. Toss the potato slices until they are evenly coated and glossy.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
  6. Arrange the potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving a little space between slices.
  7. Air fry for 7 to 8 minutes, then flip the slices or shake the basket to turn them.
  8. Continue cooking for another 7 to 8 minutes, until the potatoes are golden and crispy with tender centers.
  9. Transfer the sliced potatoes to a plate and serve hot.

Notes

- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket or the potatoes will steam instead of crisp.
- For extra crispness, place cooked potatoes on a wire rack for a few minutes instead of stacking them.
- You can slice and season the potatoes ahead, then store them in cold water up to 4 hours; dry thoroughly before adding oil and cooking.
- Leftovers can be reheated in the air fryer at 375°F for 3 to 5 minutes to restore crispness.
