Ingredients
Method
- Wash and scrub the potatoes, then slice them into thin, even rounds about 1/8 inch thick.
- Place the potato slices in a large bowl and drizzle with olive oil.
- Sprinkle the salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder over the potatoes.
- Toss the potato slices until they are evenly coated and glossy.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
- Arrange the potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving a little space between slices.
- Air fry for 7 to 8 minutes, then flip the slices or shake the basket to turn them.
- Continue cooking for another 7 to 8 minutes, until the potatoes are golden and crispy with tender centers.
- Transfer the sliced potatoes to a plate and serve hot.
Notes
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket or the potatoes will steam instead of crisp.
- For extra crispness, place cooked potatoes on a wire rack for a few minutes instead of stacking them.
- You can slice and season the potatoes ahead, then store them in cold water up to 4 hours; dry thoroughly before adding oil and cooking.
- Leftovers can be reheated in the air fryer at 375°F for 3 to 5 minutes to restore crispness.
