  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Method
 

  1. Pat the tilapia fillets dry on both sides with paper towels.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
  4. Brush or rub the tilapia fillets on both sides with the olive oil.
  5. Sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the oiled fillets, pressing lightly so the seasoning adheres.
  6. Place the seasoned tilapia fillets in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them and not overlapping.
  7. Air fry at 400°F for 8 to 10 minutes, without flipping, until the fish is opaque, the edges are lightly golden, and it flakes easily with a fork in the thickest part.
  8. Transfer the fillets to plates and top with fresh chopped parsley and lemon juice before serving.

Notes

- Make sure the fillets are dry before seasoning so the edges crisp and the spices stick well.
- Start checking for doneness at 8 minutes, especially if your tilapia fillets are thin, to avoid overcooking.
