Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 1 pound broccoli florets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese optional
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds optional
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chili flakes optional

Method

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F.
  2. Pat the broccoli florets dry with a paper towel and place them in a large bowl.
  3. Drizzle the broccoli with olive oil, then add the garlic powder, salt, and black pepper, and toss until evenly coated.
  4. Arrange the seasoned broccoli in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving a little space between pieces.
  5. Air fry at 375°F for 8 to 10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking, until the edges are browned and crispy and the stems are tender.
  6. Transfer the broccoli to a serving dish and immediately sprinkle with Parmesan, sesame seeds, and red chili flakes if using.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy the crispy edges and tender centers.

Notes

- Dry the broccoli well before seasoning to help it crisp instead of steam.
- Cut florets into similar sizes so they cook evenly and finish at the same time.
