  • 2 flour tortillas 8 inch
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning

Method
 

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F.
  2. Lay out the tortillas and spread 1 tbsp softened butter evenly over each tortilla.
  3. Sprinkle garlic powder and Italian seasoning evenly over the buttered tortillas.
  4. Top each tortilla with shredded mozzarella, spreading it to the edges.
  5. Stack the tortillas directly on top of each other and place the stack in the air fryer basket.
  6. Air fry for 5 minutes, checking at 4 minutes, until the top turns deep golden brown with crisp edges and bubbling cheese.
  7. Rest for 2 minutes, then slice with a pizza cutter into wedges or strips and serve immediately.

Notes

- Use softened butter so it spreads edge to edge without tearing the tortillas.
- Start checking at 4 minutes since air fryers run hot; pull as soon as the cheese turns deep golden brown.
- Let it rest 2 minutes before slicing so the cheese sets and the slices stay neat.
