Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 pounds chicken wings (split into drumettes and flats)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder (aluminum-free) Helps the skin crisp and brown
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt Seasons the meat
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Provides flavor
  • 1 teaspoon paprika Adds color and warmth
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper For a gentle bite

Method

Preparation
  1. Dry the wings well, then let them sit for 15 minutes to take off the chill.
  2. In a large bowl, combine baking powder, kosher salt, garlic powder, paprika, and black pepper. Stir until blended.
  3. Toss the wings in the seasoning mixture until evenly coated, then let them sit for 10 minutes to allow the coating to dry.
Cooking
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F for 3 minutes.
  2. Arrange the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
  3. Air fry for 12 minutes, then flip each wing.
  4. Continue to cook for an additional 10-13 minutes until the wings are golden brown and reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
  5. Let the wings rest for 2 minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, ensure wings are dried thoroughly and cooked in a single layer. You can customize the flavor by adjusting the amount of paprika or adding extra black pepper for heat.
