Preparation
- In a small saucepan, combine water, sugar, salt, and vegetable oil. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil over medium heat.
- Remove the pan from heat and stir in the flour until a smooth ball forms. Let it cool slightly for 2–3 minutes.
- Transfer the dough to a pastry bag fitted with a large star tip.
Cooking
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Pipe 4–5 inch strips of dough directly onto parchment paper or a clean surface, ensuring they don’t touch.
- Cook in the air fryer for about 10 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl and roll the churros in this mixture immediately after cooking.
Serving
- Plate the warm churros and serve with chocolate ganache for dipping.
Notes
Best served warm. Store leftover churros in an airtight container for up to 2 days, reheat in air fryer to regain crispness.
