  • 12 thawed frozen dinner roll dough balls
  • 3 tablespoons canola oil
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Method
 

  1. Cut each thawed dinner roll dough ball in half to make 24 pieces, then roll each piece into a 6 inch rope.
  2. Twist 2 ropes together to form 12 twists, then place on a plate.
  3. Brush the twists with canola oil and let them puff for 15 minutes.
  4. Mix granulated sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F.
  6. Air fry the twists in a single layer for 7 minutes, flip, then air fry 4 to 5 minutes until deeply golden.
  7. Roll the warm twists in the cinnamon sugar mixture until well coated.
  8. Make the dip by whisking cream cheese until smooth, then whisk in powdered sugar, vanilla bean paste, and milk until silky.
  9. Serve the twists warm with the cream cheese dip on the side.

Notes

- Cook in batches so the twists sit in a single layer with space between them for even browning.
- Let cream cheese sit at room temperature for 20 minutes before whisking to prevent lumps.
- Add milk to the dip gradually to keep it thick and scoopable.
