Preparation
- In a small bowl, combine 1/4 cup granulated sugar and 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon; stir well so the sugar is evenly spiced.
- Open the crescent roll package and unroll the dough onto a clean surface. Brush the entire surface with the melted butter, then sprinkle with about half of the cinnamon sugar so the dough is evenly dusted.
- Fold the dough in half lengthwise, pressing along the seam to seal the edges.
- Cut the folded dough into 10–12 strips (about 3/4–1 inch wide). Twist each strip several times, then pinch the ends to help them hold their shape.
- Brush each twisted strip lightly with the remaining melted butter and sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon sugar evenly over both sides.
- Place the twists in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overlapping.
Cooking
- Cook at 350°F for 5–7 minutes, until the edges are golden brown and the centers are slightly puffed.
- Let the twists sit for a minute or two after frying before serving warm.
Notes
Serve warm alongside coffee, whipped cream for dipping, or on a dessert board. Store cooled twists in an airtight container for up to 24 hours.
