Ingredients

For the coating
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar For coating the twists
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon For coating the twists
For the twists
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent rolls Provides flaky texture and quick puffing
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (melted) Helps the cinnamon sugar adhere

Method

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, combine 1/4 cup granulated sugar and 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon; stir well so the sugar is evenly spiced.
  2. Open the crescent roll package and unroll the dough onto a clean surface. Brush the entire surface with the melted butter, then sprinkle with about half of the cinnamon sugar so the dough is evenly dusted.
  3. Fold the dough in half lengthwise, pressing along the seam to seal the edges.
  4. Cut the folded dough into 10–12 strips (about 3/4–1 inch wide). Twist each strip several times, then pinch the ends to help them hold their shape.
  5. Brush each twisted strip lightly with the remaining melted butter and sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon sugar evenly over both sides.
  6. Place the twists in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overlapping.
Cooking
  1. Cook at 350°F for 5–7 minutes, until the edges are golden brown and the centers are slightly puffed.
  2. Let the twists sit for a minute or two after frying before serving warm.

Notes

Serve warm alongside coffee, whipped cream for dipping, or on a dessert board. Store cooled twists in an airtight container for up to 24 hours.
