Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound cod fillets (fresh or thawed, cut evenly)
  • 1.5 teaspoons olive oil Keeps the fish moist and helps seasonings adhere.
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice Preferably fresh.
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika Adds color and warmth.
  • 0.5 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.125 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 slices lemon (for serving) Optional garnish.

Method

Preparation
  1. Dry the cod well by patting the fillets thoroughly with paper towels.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (about 3 to 5 minutes).
  3. In a small bowl, mix the olive oil and lemon juice. Brush a thin coating over both sides of each fillet.
  4. In another small bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, kosher salt, and black pepper. Season the fillets on both sides with this mixture.
Cooking
  1. Lightly oil or line your air fryer basket and arrange the cod in a single layer, avoiding overlapping.
  2. Air fry for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through. The cod is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F and flakes easily.
Serving
  1. Transfer the cod to plates carefully and serve immediately with lemon slices.

Notes

For best results, ensure cod is dry and avoid crowding in the air fryer. Optional: Use smoked paprika for a different flavor profile.
