  • 2 large flour tortillas Provides structure and crisps well.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend) Melts quickly and binds the tortillas.
  • 1/4 cup cooked chicken, diced Optional; adds savory bite.
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted Helps brown the tortillas.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 370°F (190°C).
  2. Lay 1 tortilla on a flat surface and sprinkle half the cheese evenly over it, covering close to the edges.
  3. If using, scatter the diced cooked chicken over the cheese, then top with the remaining cheese.
  4. Place the second tortilla on top and press down lightly.
  5. Brush the top and bottom of the quesadilla with melted butter.
Cooking
  1. Place the quesadilla in the air fryer basket. Cook for 5 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 3 minutes.
  2. Remove from the air fryer carefully, cut into wedges, and serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, don’t overload the quesadilla, spread cheese evenly, and flip carefully to avoid shifting layers. Adjust cooking time as needed based on air fryer differences.
