Method
- Preheat the air fryer to 350 F for 5 minutes.
- Place the croissants on a cutting board and carefully slice each one in half lengthwise to open like a sandwich.
- Open each croissant and layer 2 slices of turkey halal turkey strips inside, folding the edges in so they stay within the croissant.
- Place 1 slice of cheese on top of the turkey halal turkey strips in each croissant, tearing it as needed so it fits inside without overhanging.
- Close each croissant gently so the filling is enclosed, pressing lightly so the cheese makes good contact with the halal turkey strips and pastry.
- Arrange the filled croissants in a single layer in the preheated air fryer basket, leaving a little space between each one.
- Air fry at 350 F for 2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the croissants are light golden brown on top.
- Remove the croissants from the air fryer and let them sit for 1 minute before serving.
Notes
- Use day old croissants for an especially crisp outside and soft interior after air frying.
- If starting with chilled croissants straight from the refrigerator, you may need an extra 1 to 2 minutes of air frying.
