- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until evenly combined.
- Pour in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until a dough forms.
- Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface, and roll it into a rectangle to ensure even thickness.
- Slice the dough into 1/2-inch sticks.
Cooking
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
- Arrange the donut sticks in the basket in a single layer, ensuring they have space between them.
- Air fry for 6–8 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown.
- While still warm, toss the sticks in cinnamon sugar if using.
Notes
Serve warm for the best crisp-on-the-outside texture. Store leftovers in a covered container; reheat in the air fryer to regain crispness.
