Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder For leavening
  • 1/4 tsp salt Enhances flavor
  • 1/2 cup milk Keeps the center tender
  • 1 tbsp melted butter Adds richness
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract For flavor
  • Cooking spray Prevents sticking
Optional Topping
  • 1/4 cup cinnamon sugar For finishing

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until evenly combined.
  3. Pour in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until a dough forms.
  4. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface, and roll it into a rectangle to ensure even thickness.
  5. Slice the dough into 1/2-inch sticks.
Cooking
  1. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  2. Arrange the donut sticks in the basket in a single layer, ensuring they have space between them.
  3. Air fry for 6–8 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown.
  4. While still warm, toss the sticks in cinnamon sugar if using.

Notes

Serve warm for the best crisp-on-the-outside texture. Store leftovers in a covered container; reheat in the air fryer to regain crispness.
