Ingredients

Custard Mixture
  • 3 large large eggs
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Bread
  • 6 slices bread, cut into cubes

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, brown sugar, milk, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and kosher salt until smooth.
  2. Add the bread cubes to the bowl and gently toss until every cube is coated. Let the cubes sit for a minute to absorb some custard.
Cooking
  1. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with nonstick spray. Arrange the bread cubes in a single layer with gaps in between.
  2. Air fry at 350°F for 8–10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking.
  3. Check for golden-brown edges and slightly puffed centers. Remove the bites when they are done.
Serving
  1. Serve immediately with toppings such as syrup, powdered sugar, or fresh fruit.

Notes

For the best results, do not crowd the air fryer basket. Use day-old or slightly dry bread. Shake halfway through cooking to ensure even browning.
