Preparation
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, brown sugar, milk, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and kosher salt until smooth.
- Add the bread cubes to the bowl and gently toss until every cube is coated. Let the cubes sit for a minute to absorb some custard.
Cooking
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with nonstick spray. Arrange the bread cubes in a single layer with gaps in between.
- Air fry at 350°F for 8–10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking.
- Check for golden-brown edges and slightly puffed centers. Remove the bites when they are done.
Serving
- Serve immediately with toppings such as syrup, powdered sugar, or fresh fruit.
Notes
For the best results, do not crowd the air fryer basket. Use day-old or slightly dry bread. Shake halfway through cooking to ensure even browning.
