Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 1.5 lb baby potatoes or regular potatoes cut into wedges
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley or chives for garnish

Method

  1. Wash the potatoes thoroughly, then cut into even wedges if using regular potatoes. Pat the potatoes very dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.
  2. Place the dried potato wedges in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and toss until all pieces are evenly coated.
  3. Add the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to the bowl. Toss again until the seasoning coats all sides of the potatoes.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for 3 to 5 minutes.
  5. Arrange the seasoned potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer with a little space between pieces. Cook in batches if needed to avoid crowding.
  6. Air fry at 400°F for 15 minutes. Remove the basket and shake well or flip the potatoes with tongs to expose any browned undersides.
  7. Return the basket to the air fryer and cook for 8 to 10 more minutes, until the potatoes are deep golden on the edges and tender when pierced with a fork.
  8. Transfer the hot potatoes to a serving plate and garnish with chopped parsley or chives. Serve immediately.

Notes

- Drying the potatoes thoroughly before seasoning helps them get extra crispy in the air fryer.
- For advance prep, you can cut and season the potatoes, then refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 24 hours before air frying.
