  • 4 slices bread
  • 3 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 3 tablespoons jelly
  • 2 tablespoons butter softened

Method
 

  1. Spread peanut butter in a thin, even layer on 2 slices of bread.
  2. Spread jelly in a thin, even layer on the remaining 2 slices of bread.
  3. Press 1 peanut butter slice and 1 jelly slice together to form 2 sandwiches, filling sides facing in.
  4. Butter the outside of each sandwich edge to edge on both sides.
  5. Place sandwiches in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  6. Air fry at 400°F for 6 minutes, flipping at 3 minutes, until golden brown.
  7. Rest 1 minute, then slice and serve.

Notes

- Keep fillings slightly away from the edges to prevent leaks in the basket.
- Use no sugar added jelly and higher protein bread to boost protein and support steadier blood sugar.
- Refrigerate assembled, unbuttered sandwiches up to 24 hours; butter right before air frying.
