Ingredients
  

For the Toast
  • 8 slices crusty bread (such as sourdough or ciabatta) Provides a chewy middle with crisp edges.
  • 1/4 cup olive oil Used for brushing the bread.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Adds flavor to the oil.
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano Enhances the aroma and taste.
  • to taste none Salt and pepper Season to preference.
For Topping
  • 1 large ripe avocado Mashed for topping.
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes Halved for topping.
  • Feta cheese none crumbled (optional) Adds a salty bite.
  • a few leaves fresh basil For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
  2. In a small bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir until even.
  3. Brush both sides of each bread slice with the olive oil mixture.
Cooking
  1. Place bread slices in the air fryer basket in a single layer and air fry for 3-5 minutes until golden and crisp.
  2. Remove the toast and let it cool slightly.
Topping
  1. Spread mashed avocado evenly over each slice.
  2. Top with halved cherry tomatoes and crumbled feta, if using.
  3. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, avoid crowding the air fryer basket. Let the bread cool slightly after cooking to maintain crispness before adding toppings.
