Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 1 lb fresh Brussels sprouts
  • 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp honey or agave syrup
  • 1 tsp fine salt
  • 0.5 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Method

  1. Rinse the Brussels sprouts under cold water, trim a thin slice from the stem ends, and remove any wilted outer leaves.
  2. Cut large Brussels sprouts in half so all pieces are similar in size, then pat them dry thoroughly with paper towels.
  3. In a large bowl whisk together the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, honey, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika until well combined.
  4. Add the Brussels sprouts to the bowl and toss until every piece is evenly coated with the marinade.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
  6. Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single, loose layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between pieces for air circulation.
  7. Air fry for 7 minutes, then pull out the basket and shake it well or stir the sprouts to promote even browning.
  8. Continue air frying for 5 to 8 more minutes, until the Brussels sprouts are deep golden brown, crisp on the edges, and tender in the center.
  9. Transfer the hot Brussels sprouts to a serving dish and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley.
  10. Serve immediately while hot and crispy.

Notes

- Drying the Brussels sprouts well before marinating helps them brown and crisp instead of steaming.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in two batches if needed so the sprouts roast evenly.
