Ingredients

For the chicken skewers
  • 1 pound chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces Ensure pieces are evenly cut for even cooking.
  • 8 pieces bamboo skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes Soaking helps prevent burning.
For the Bang Bang sauce
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce Adjust for desired spice level.
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice Fresh lime juice preferred.
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C). This helps the chicken get lightly golden edges.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, lime juice, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy to make the Bang Bang sauce.
  3. Thread the bite-sized chicken pieces onto the soaked skewers, packing them snugly but leaving space for air to circulate.
  4. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
Cooking
  1. Place the skewers in the basket in one layer. If they don’t fit without overlapping, cook in batches.
  2. Air fry for 12-15 minutes, turning the skewers halfway through until cooked through and lightly golden.
Serving
  1. Drizzle the Bang Bang sauce over the skewers right before serving.

Notes

These skewers are best served right away for optimal texture. Store leftover chicken and sauce separately to maintain quality.
