  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika For a smoky taste.
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes Optional for heat.

Method

Preparation
  1. Slice the beef into thin strips against the grain for optimal tenderness.
  2. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes to create a marinade.
  3. Add the beef strips to the marinade, ensuring they’re thoroughly coated.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, or overnight for deeper flavor.
  5. After marinating, remove beef strips and pat them dry with paper towels.
Cooking
  1. Arrange beef strips in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overlap.
  2. Set the air fryer to 160°F (70°C) and cook for 4 to 6 hours, checking for desired dryness.
  3. Jerky is done when it bends without breaking.

Notes

Ensure uniform thickness of beef strips for even cooking. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two weeks.
