  • 3 pieces ripe bananas Mash them but leave some small chunks for texture.
  • 2 tablespoons butter Melted for flavor and browning.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon Generous pinch for flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons sugar To caramelize the bananas.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Adds finishing aroma.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Place a small baking dish on the counter.
  2. Peel and mash the ripe bananas in a bowl until mostly smooth but with a few small chunks remaining.
Cooking
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the mashed bananas, a pinch of cinnamon, and sugar. Stir constantly for 1–2 minutes until warm and slightly steamy.
  2. Pour the banana mixture into the baking dish and smooth the top for even browning.
  3. Bake for 15–20 minutes, until the edges are bubbly and the top is lightly golden.
  4. Remove from the oven and drizzle with vanilla extract. Let sit for 2–3 minutes before serving.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Serve warm with optional toppings. Can also be paired with pancakes or Greek yogurt.
