Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla bean paste
  • cooking spray
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter melted (for brushing)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar for coating
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon for coating

Method

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Add milk, melted butter, and vanilla bean paste, then stir just until smooth.
  4. Lightly grease silicone donut molds with cooking spray, including the center posts.
  5. Spoon batter into molds, filling each cavity 3/4 full.
  6. Place molds in the air fryer basket and air fry for 8 minutes, until lightly golden and springy.
  7. Cool donuts in the molds for 2 minutes, then gently remove to a rack or plate.
  8. In a shallow bowl, mix the coating sugar and cinnamon.
  9. Brush each warm donut lightly with melted butter, then roll in cinnamon sugar to coat.

Notes

- Fill molds 3/4 full to prevent overflow and keep the donut shape neat.
- For best coating, roll the donuts while still warm; if they cool too much, reheat for 20 seconds in the air fryer, then coat.
- If donuts look pale at 8 minutes, cook 1 to 2 minutes longer at 350°F.
