Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 3 medium red apples Pink Lady, Honeycrisp, or Gala, peeled, cored, and cut into bite-size cubes
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup plus more for drizzling if desired
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil melted (or olive oil)
  • Nonstick cooking spray

Method

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F and lightly spray the basket with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the apple cubes, melted coconut oil, maple syrup, and cinnamon, and toss until the apples are evenly coated.
  3. Spread the coated apples in a single layer in the preheated air fryer basket, leaving a little space between pieces for air circulation.
  4. Air fry for 10 to 14 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking, until the apples have deep golden edges and are tender but still hold their shape.
  5. Transfer the apples to a serving bowl, drizzle with a little additional maple syrup if desired, toss gently, and serve warm.

Notes

- For firmer apples with more bite, use Honeycrisp; for softer, sweeter apples, use Gala or similar varieties.
- Cook in a single layer; if needed, cook in batches to keep the apples crispy.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 320°F for 3 to 5 minutes.
