Method
- Cut mozzarella into 1 in cubes or thick coins and pat dry with paper towels.
- Set up 3 shallow bowls: flour mixed with salt and pepper, whisked egg, and breadcrumbs.
- Roll each mozzarella piece in seasoned flour, dip in egg, then press firmly into breadcrumbs to coat well.
- Place coated mozzarella on a plate and chill for 15 minutes.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F and lightly spray the basket with cooking spray.
- Arrange mozzarella in a single layer with space between pieces and lightly spray the tops.
- Air fry for 6 minutes, shaking the basket at 3 minutes, until deeply golden.
- Rest for 1 minute, then serve immediately with marinara and ranch.
