Ingredients

Dough and Filling
  • 1 package pizza dough
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices optional
For Brushing and Seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil to promote even browning
  • Italian seasoning optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly flour a work surface and roll out the pizza dough to about 1/8-1/4 inch thickness.
  3. Cut the dough into small squares—roughly 2½-inch squares.
  4. Place about 1 teaspoon of marinara in the center of each square, add a pinch of shredded mozzarella, and top with 1–2 pepperoni slices if using.
  5. Fold the squares over to form pockets and pinch the edges firmly to seal.
  6. Lightly brush each top with olive oil and sprinkle with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  7. Arrange the rolls in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space for air to circulate.
Cooking
  1. Air fry for about 8-10 minutes, watching for golden brown edges and an evenly bronzed top.
  2. Serve warm with extra marinara for dipping.

Notes

Store cooled rolls in an airtight container for up to 3 days. To freeze, stack uncooked sealed rolls on a sheet tray, then transfer to a bag and cook from frozen. Warm leftovers in the air fryer to restore crunch.
