Ingredients
Method
- Preheat the air fryer to 400 °F for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Peel the potatoes or leave the skins on, then cut them into even wedges or small cubes about 3/4 inch thick.
- Pat the potato pieces very dry with a clean kitchen towel to remove surface moisture.
- Place the potatoes in a mixing bowl and add the olive oil, salt, and garlic powder.
- Toss until all potato pieces are evenly coated with the seasoning and oil.
- Arrange the potatoes in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving a little space between pieces.
- Air fry at 400 °F for 20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking.
- Check for doneness; the potatoes should have golden brown edges and be fork tender in the center.
- If needed, air fry for an additional 2 to 3 minutes until the desired crispiness is reached.
- Serve hot as a simple main or side dish.
Notes
- Cut the potatoes into evenly sized pieces so they cook at the same rate.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in two batches if needed for best crispiness.
