Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound carrots, peeled and cut into sticks or rounds About 450 grams
  • 2 tablespoons honey (raw local honey preferred) Best when warmed for easy coating
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Helps the carrots brown
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt Balances sweetness
  • 0.25 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper Adds warmth
  • 0.5 teaspoon smoked paprika Optional for a smoky flavor
  • 0.25 teaspoon garlic powder Adds savory backbone
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme or rosemary, finely chopped Optional for a fresh finish

Method

Preparation
  1. Cut the carrots evenly into sticks about 3 inches long and ½ inch thick (or into rounds if preferred).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the carrots, olive oil, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder. Toss until evenly coated.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  4. Arrange the carrots in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Cooking
  1. Air fry the carrots for 10 minutes, then shake the basket or flip the carrots.
  2. Continue air frying for another 5–7 minutes until carrots are tender and have browned edges.
  3. If desired, add an additional 2–3 minutes for more crispiness.
Finishing Touch
  1. Warm the honey in a small bowl or microwave for about 20 seconds until loose.
  2. As soon as the carrots are cooked, drizzle the warm honey over them and toss gently to coat.
  3. If the carrots softened after glazing, air fry for an additional 1–2 minutes to crisp up the edges.

Notes

Store leftovers in the fridge in a covered container. Reheat in the air fryer for best results, watching closely to prevent burning.
