Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 2 pounds chicken wings tips removed and drumettes and flats separated
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Method

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
  2. Pat the chicken wings very dry with paper towels.
  3. In a large bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper and stir to form a loose paste.
  4. Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss until all pieces are evenly coated.
  5. Arrange the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving a little space between each piece.
  6. Air fry at 400°F for 25 to 30 minutes, shaking the basket or turning the wings halfway through cooking.
  7. Check that the wings are deep golden brown and cooked through with no pink at the bone, then remove and serve immediately or toss with your favorite sauce.

Notes

- For extra crispy wings, cook closer to 30 minutes, checking at 25 minutes so they do not overbrown.
- You can season the wings up to 24 hours ahead and refrigerate them covered, then air fry just before serving.
- Reheat leftover wings in the air fryer at 375°F for 3 to 5 minutes until hot and crisp.
