Ingredients
  

Egg Mixture
  • 4 large large eggs Room temperature for best fluffiness.
  • 2 tablespoons milk or cream Whole milk or half-and-half recommended.
  • 1 teaspoon unsalted butter For greasing and flavor.
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1 pinch freshly ground black pepper
Optional Mix-Ins
  • to taste diced tomatoes Watch for moisture release.
  • to taste shredded cheese Sharp cheddar or mozzarella recommended.
  • to taste chopped fresh herbs Chives or parsley recommended.
  • to taste cooked bacon bits Ensure they are cooked first.
  • to taste sautéed mushrooms Must be cooked beforehand.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 300°F (150°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  2. In a medium bowl, crack in the 4 eggs. Add the milk or cream, salt, and a pinch of black pepper. Whisk vigorously for 1–2 minutes until the mixture is smooth, pale yellow, and slightly frothy.
  3. Lightly coat the air fryer basket with the unsalted butter.
  4. Pour the egg mixture into the greased basket and spread it into an even layer.
Cooking
  1. Cook at 300°F (150°C) for 6–8 minutes.
  2. Return to cook until the eggs are set but still moist—they should look softly cooked, not wet or runny.
  3. For cheese or herbs, stir them in just before the eggs are done or sprinkle on top right after cooking.
Serving
  1. Serve immediately while the curds are still tender and steamy.

Notes

Refrigerate leftovers in a sealed container. Reheat gently to maintain texture. Add mix-ins and seasonings as desired.
