  • 1/4 cup Honey Creates a sticky glaze; can substitute with maple syrup.
  • 1/4 cup Low-Sodium Soy Sauce Use tamari for gluten-free.
  • 1 tbsp Rice Vinegar Apple cider vinegar works as a substitute.
  • 1 tsp Sesame Oil Adds a nutty depth; can omit for a lighter version.
  • to taste Red Pepper Flakes Optional for extra heat; can use fresh chili or chili paste.
  • 2 stalks Green Onions Add freshness and crunch; chives are a good substitute.
  • 1 tbsp Neutral Oil (Canola or Avocado) Use for sautéing.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, stir together the honey, low-sodium soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and (if using) red pepper flakes to prepare the glaze.
  2. Lightly coat the ground turkey with neutral oil and spread it out in an even layer in the air fryer basket.
Cooking
  1. Air fry the turkey, pausing to break it into small crumbles and ensuring it cooks evenly until there are browned spots and no longer pink.
  2. Once the turkey is cooked through, add the minced garlic and toss to infuse the flavor.
  3. Pour the honey-soy mixture over the cooked turkey and toss until fully coated, allowing the sauce to thicken.
Finishing Touch
  1. Slice the green onions and mix them into the turkey just before serving for extra freshness.

Notes

Serve immediately while hot. Leftovers can be stored in a sealed container in the fridge and reheated in the air fryer for best texture. Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to your desired heat level.
