Preparation
- Cut the carrots evenly into sticks about 3 inches long and ½ inch thick or into rounds.
- Add the carrots to a mixing bowl and toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika (if using) until evenly coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
Cooking
- Arrange the carrots in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook for 10 minutes.
- Shake the basket or flip the carrots for even browning, then continue air frying for an additional 5–7 minutes, until tender and browned at the edges.
- While the carrots are finishing, warm the honey in a small bowl and stir in fresh thyme or rosemary (if using).
- Drizzle the warm honey over the hot carrots and toss gently to coat.
- For extra crispness, air fry for another 1–2 minutes.
Notes
Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket for best results. Leftovers can be stored in a sealed container and reheated in the air fryer for improved texture.
