  • 1 pound carrots, peeled and cut into sticks or rounds Cut evenly for consistent cooking.
  • 2 tablespoons honey Warm before drizzling for easy coating.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Helps the seasonings adhere to the carrots.
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional) Adds a roasted flavor.
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme or rosemary, finely chopped (optional) Stir into warm honey for extra flavor.

Preparation
  1. Cut the carrots evenly into sticks about 3 inches long and ½ inch thick or into rounds.
  2. Add the carrots to a mixing bowl and toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika (if using) until evenly coated.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Arrange the carrots in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook for 10 minutes.
  2. Shake the basket or flip the carrots for even browning, then continue air frying for an additional 5–7 minutes, until tender and browned at the edges.
  3. While the carrots are finishing, warm the honey in a small bowl and stir in fresh thyme or rosemary (if using).
  4. Drizzle the warm honey over the hot carrots and toss gently to coat.
  5. For extra crispness, air fry for another 1–2 minutes.

Notes

Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket for best results. Leftovers can be stored in a sealed container and reheated in the air fryer for improved texture.
