Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 6 slices white sandwich bread crusts removed
  • 4 tablespoons Nutella
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • nonstick cooking spray
  • powdered sugar for serving (optional)
  • maple syrup for serving (optional)

Method

  1. Remove crusts from the bread and flatten each slice with a rolling pin until flexible.
  2. Spread Nutella evenly over each slice, leaving a small border, then roll up snugly and press the seam to seal.
  3. Whisk eggs, milk, vanilla bean paste, cinnamon, and sugar in a shallow bowl until fully combined.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F and lightly spray the basket with nonstick cooking spray.
  5. Dip each roll up quickly in the egg mixture, turning to coat all sides, then let excess drip off.
  6. Arrange roll ups seam side down in a single layer in the basket with space between them.
  7. Air fry for 8 minutes, turning at 4 minutes, until golden and crisp.
  8. Serve immediately topped with powdered sugar or with syrup for dipping.

Notes

- Use about 2 teaspoons Nutella per roll up to prevent leaking and scorching.
- If Nutella feels too soft to roll neatly, chill the assembled roll ups for 5 minutes before dipping.
- Store leftovers airtight in the refrigerator for 3 days; reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 4 minutes, flipping halfway.
