Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups Hungry Jack Pancake Mix
  • 1.5 cups water Add as per pancake mix instructions
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage Cooked and browned
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.25 cup maple syrup Sweetens the batter

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a mini muffin pan well.
  2. Cook the breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium-high heat until fully cooked and browned. Drain excess grease and let cool.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the pancake mix and water according to package directions until there are no dry pockets.
  4. Fold in the cooked sausage, shredded cheddar, and maple syrup until evenly distributed.
  5. Spoon batter into each mini muffin cup until about three-quarters full.
Baking
  1. Bake for 12–15 minutes, until the tops are golden brown and the centers look set.
Serving
  1. Serve warm, with additional maple syrup on the side for dipping.

Notes

Store leftover McGriddle Bites in a tightly covered container in the fridge. Reheat with air fryer for the best texture. They also freeze well.
