Ingredients
Method
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F.
- In a medium bowl, stir together the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard to form a seasoning paste.
- Add the ground beef and mix gently with your hands just until evenly combined.
- Divide the meat into 4 equal portions and shape into patties about 3/4 inch thick; press a small dimple in the center of each patty.
- Brush both sides of the patties with olive oil and place them in the air fryer basket in a single layer with space around each.
- Air fry for 7 minutes, flip, then cook 5 minutes more or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
- Rest the patties on a plate for 2 minutes, then serve on toasted buns or in lettuce wraps with your favorite toppings.
Notes
- Mix the beef gently and stop as soon as it looks combined to keep the patties tender.
- Keep patties the same thickness and use a center dimple so they cook flat instead of puffing up.
- Refrigerate shaped patties, covered, up to 24 hours; brush with oil right before cooking.
- For cheeseburgers, add cheese during the last 1 minute of cooking.
