Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 1 baguette or Italian bread sliced in half lengthwise
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Method

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, grated Parmesan, salt, and black pepper, and mix until creamy and evenly combined.
  2. Lay the baguette or Italian bread halves cut side up and evenly spread the garlic butter mixture over the cut sides, covering all the way to the edges.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F for 3 minutes.
  4. Place the bread halves in the air fryer basket cut side up, leaving a little space between them for air circulation.
  5. Air fry at 350°F for 5 to 7 minutes, until the edges are golden and the butter and cheese are bubbly.
  6. Remove the garlic bread from the air fryer and let it rest for 1 to 2 minutes.
  7. Slice into pieces and serve warm.

Notes

- Use softened, not melted, butter so it stays on the bread and soaks in instead of running off.
- If your air fryer basket is small, cook the bread in batches rather than stacking pieces so it toasts evenly.
- For easy prep ahead, spread the garlic butter on the bread up to 2 hours before cooking and keep at room temperature until ready to air fry.
- Leftover garlic bread can be reheated in the air fryer at 320°F for 3 to 4 minutes from the refrigerator, or 5 to 6 minutes from frozen.
